Ernest Markham Clematis

A stunning climbing clematis prized for enormous velvety magenta-red blooms and vigorous summer growth — Ernest Markham Clematis is one of the most dramatic flowering vines for trellises, fences, arbors, and cottage-style gardens. Its rich fuchsia-magenta flowers create bold vertical color while thriving surprisingly well in cooler northern climates with proper placement.

• South-facing walls or sheltered garden spaces improve success

• May die back heavily during winter and regrow vigorously in spring
