Feb 15th thru Feb 27th - GRAB-N-GO: Onions Starter (Cost- $15.00) Drop by Ken’s Garden Center and pick up your Onions Kit for this on-line video tutorial class. Get your onions started for Spring transplant. Kit includes: Holed tray, dome lid, soil, onion bulbs seeds.
B. ON-SITE MAKE & TAKE CLASSES
Feb 13th - MAKE & TAKE: Kids Succulent Class - (Cost - $25.00) Come to Ken's Garden Center anytime between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and plant a Hoya Heart Succulent for Valentines.
Beginners Gardening Classes at Ken's Garden Center
What: 4-Weeks Beginners Gardening Class
Where: Kens Garden Center in th Greenhouse
When: Classes will be on Saturday Feb 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th at 11:00 am.
Classes can be taken individually at $30 each or if you sign up for all 4 classes for a total of $100.

Topics of Classes:
WEEK 1: Feb 6 – Pro & Cons of Gardening in Alaska Making your plan, your soil. Students will receive “The Alaska Gardeners Handbook” as part of the course fee. $30
Week 2: Feb 13- How to Improve your Soil. Types of manure, building a compost pile. Students will receive a Soil Rapid Test Kit as part of the course fee. $30
Week 3: Feb 20- Getting Started Early, Prepping, damp off, sowing in doors, heat light and watering. Students will receive one tray with plants to take home as part of the course fee. $30
Week 4: Feb 27- Pests Basics, Storing, putting things to bed. Students will receive one sticky trap card as part of the course fee. $30
